W / 1 Woodland Various Mature 0 0 22/10/1997 Canopy - Ash, Horse Chestnut, Beech, Oak, Lime Wild Privet, Field Maple, Wych & English Elm, Hawthorn, Hazel, some thinning Sycamore, Hawthorn, Bramble and Elder. Heavy Ivy growth over woodland floor, several windblows/deadwood. 12/01/2016 Landowner advised Sycamore tree on southern boundary of New Ground Covert is leaning over track and unstable on the bank, also signs of the root system undermined due to bank subsiding (see report). JAB agreed tree could be removed without formal application to protect public safety. Email rec''''d from Hi-Line 23/01/2025 to request works to remove light growth here and there to several trees within protected woodland to provide clearance from their conductors. Consent granted 24/01/2025 to carry out these works under health and safety grounds. Therefore a formal application was not required in this instance. Hi Line have also advised that several trees were damaged in the recent storm.
