The larger of the 2 Oaks has been reduced in the past (possibly to remove deadwood) and is multi-stemmed from 2-3m. 3 stems with another stem growing seperately (but joined) from the tree. This tree has a fungul bracket at the base of the trunk (fistulina hepatica). The other one appears to be in good condition. All these oaks are large trees in a newish housing estate where there are none/few other trees of their size. These trees are seen from some distance away. |
