Exposed position. some windblown beech left rotten standing dead wood. Currently used for pheasant cover. Surrounding field ploughed. New shelter belt of conifers have been planted next to it, as cover when beech die. Some wood cutting around but only windblown beech/oak. Excellent wildlife habitat for bats and woodpeckers. |
