The proposed extension represents a contrived form of development that would result in the proposed 2 storey rear extension having an unsatisfactory relationship with the adjoining dwelling (No.48) and it would have an adverse impact on the amenity of neighbouring residents, by reason of loss of light and loss of amenity. The proposal is therefore contrary to Policies D2 and D16 of the adopted Core Strategy.

The site cannot accommodate adequate turning facilities to enable a vehicle to enter and leave the highway is a forward gear, which is essential to highway safety. The proposed intensification of the existing parking arrangements is therefore contrary to D10 of the adopted Core Strategy.
