The proposed orangery by virtue of its design, siting and use of materials will have an adverse impact on the character and appearance of the listed building, resulting in a visually intrusive extension on the rear of a long slopping roof line. The proposal is therefore contrary to policies D2, and D26 of Sedgemoor District Local Plan and advice contained with the NPPF.
