It is not considered that the proposed reduction in the detached garages width would have an adverse impact on the character and the appearance of the approved development, harm the amenity of any surrounding properties or adversely impact upon the existing street scene. The proposal though reduced in size will be able to accommodate 5 vehicles in a building that slightly exceeds the size requirements set by Somerset County Council, Transport Development Group. The proposal is not consequential in terms of its scale in relation to the original approval.
