The height, and scale of the proposed installation will result in a significant visually prominent feature within this otherwise, relatively open, and predominantly residential street scene. It is considered that within this visually prominent corner location, the proposed application, and particularly the installation of 3m high acoustic screening to surround the jet wash on the north, east and western sides would result in an unacceptable overbearing visual dominance within the street scene, and a detrminental impact on the outlook currently enjoyed from neighbouring residential properties. The proposal is therefore contrary to policies D2 and D25 Sedgemoor Local Plan 2011-2032.

Notwithstanding the proposed installation of acoustic screening, the proposed jet wash would result in an unacceptable increase in noise levels in this predominantly residential area. As such the proposal would have an unacceptable impact upon the living conditions of the occupants or nearby dwellings and is therefore contrary to policies D24 and D25 Sedgemoor Local Plan 2011-2032
