The proposed two-storey side extension due to its scale and massing and the inappropriate single storey rear orangery extension and dormer windows would result in a visually harmful features that fail to preserve or enhance the character and appearance of this traditional barn and therefore fails to comply with policies D2 and D19 of the Sedgemoor Local Plan, Supplementary Planning Guidance note, Conversion of Agricultural / Rural Buildings date July 2014 and para 139 of the National planning Policy Framework.
