The proposed changes are considered to materially alter the appearance of the development as a whole by virtue of the increase in the height of the dwelling and change to the appearance of the roof design. The inclusion of a first floor window to the side elevation would potentially increase the perception of overlooking to nearby residential property and would therefore affect the amenity of those residents. The proposed alterations to the proposed porch would be of a height and scale that would require planning permission in their own right while also materially altering the front elevation's appearance. As the proposed works will go beyond the scheme approved by the planning permission they cannot be considered as a non-material change.
