No advertisement shall be sited or displayed so as to- (a) endanger persons using any highway, railway, waterway, dock, harbour or aerodrome (civil or military); (b) obscure, or hinder the ready interpretation of, any traffic sign, railway signal or aid to navigation by water or air; or (c) hinder the operation of any device used for the purpose of security or surveillance or for measuring the speed of any vehicle. Any advertisement displayed, and any site used for the display of advertisements, shall be maintained in a condition that does not impair the visual amenity of the site. Any structure or hoarding erected or used principally for the purpose of displaying advertisements shall be maintained in a condition that does not endanger the public. The development hereby permitted shall be carried out in accordance with the approved plans listed in schedule A. Reason: For the avoidance of doubt and in the interests of proper planning.
3
The Lighting Scheme should comply with the Institution of Lighting Professionals Guidance (PLG05) for the Brightness of Illuminated Advertisements 2014 (or later versions). Reason: To safeguard residents from obtrusive light as in accordance with Policy D25 of the Sedgemoor Local Plan 2011-2032.
4
Prior to the installation of the screens hereby approved, details of the exact screens that are to be installed shall be submitted to and approved by the Local Planning Authority. Once approved, the development shall be carried out in accordance with the approved details unless otherwise approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority. Reasons: In the interest of visual amenity as in accordance with Policy D2 of the Sedgemoor Local Plan 2011-2032.
