The use of part of the house as a hairdressers would result in an intensification of the use of the access onto a classified road which is substandard in terms of its steep gradient lack of turning facilities. Therefore vehicles would be inclined to either reverse out onto the highway or park on the highway. As such it is considered that the development would be detrimental to highway safety and Policy D10 of Sedgemoor's Adopted Core Strategy.
